Released on March 29, 2011, Travel is PJ Smith's second solo effort. His first, Fear of Flying was produced by Jim Wirt (No Doubt, Fiona Apple, Hoobastank, Incubus).

Writing, playing and recording his unique, melodic and lyrical blend of acoustically led pop rock, P.J.'s career began with the Irish band No Sweat, with whom he achieved his first number one hit. "Heart and Soul" debuted in his native Ireland and went on to chart well in Europe and the U.S.

Living between Dublin, Nashville and Los Angeles, P.J. has made a name for himself within the music industry as both a brilliant songwriter and performer. His credits include the much acclaimed "To Be Alive", co-written with Vivian Campbell and featured on Def Leppard's Euphoria album, as well as the song "He's A Cowboy" on country artist Mark Wills' 2003 And The Crowd Goes Wild album.

Other band credits include The Search, Toe (with Tonic's Dan Lavery), and Clock, a band comprised of drummer Mark Schulman (Cher, Billy Idol, Pink), bassist Sasha Krivstov (Rock Star: INXS house band), and guitar master Vivian Campbell (Dio, Whitesnake, Riverdogs, Def Leppard).

Having built up a formidable fan base in both Ireland and the United States, P.J. has garnered much critical acclaim for his no-nonsense, ardent live performances. Equally as entertaining with his acoustic guitar as with a full band, you are guaranteed to be taken on a journey you won't forget.
